Momentum2010 began as a partnership between Fair Haven Ministries and the South Grand Rapids Classis Equipping Leaders Team of the Reformed Church In America (RCA) and expanded to include the RCA Discipleship Team and the RCA's Synod of the Great Lakes.   From there, we have begun to develop a number of partners in this event who have not only contributed effort, ideas, and people power, but also funding and resources.  With their participation, we are able to offer this conference to individuals and churches for far less than it costs to run the event. 

 

Why are we doing this?  Because we believe that God wants to see the church being unified in its missional calling to be the very presence of Jesus to a broken and hurting world so loved by God.  We believe that God has given many servant leaders to the church through whom he is bearing much fruit in the transformation of individuals, churches, communities, and cities.  It is our hope to help catalyze servant leaders by creating opportunities for learning, growth, sharing, networking, encouragement, and challenge.

 

We also know that many churches are unable to send leaders and volunteers to conferences in other states at higher costs.  Our hope is to focus on local best practices in key areas to spur on the mission and work of the church.  It is our intention to do this affordably, locally, and annually.
